Maui Day 10

Mother's Day just isn't the same when those who make you a mother are not around. I was missing my kids, though they gave me the perfect gift vicariously through Brandon. I have wanted a little point and shoot camera to have on hand when I don't have my big camera around. And now I have it to take pictures at the park or here in Hawaii.

After Church we took a Sunday drive around Maui. Beautiful landscapes every direction you turn and the photos just don't do them justice.

We drove through the clouds to Mt. Haleakala.

Observed rolling clouds and volcanic craters.

Stood on the top of the world.

This is a baby silversword plant. It lives for 50 years, blooms once and then dies. I love these photos, but the mature plants aren't very pretty.

On the way home we stopped at the Maui Polo Club. We had never seen a polo game in person, so it was fun to watch. I kept on waiting for the divet stomping, like on the movies, but that isn't Hawaiian style.
