He is at it again

Jackson is definitely more mischievous than Sam. Aside from his daily escapades of dumping out all the toys, throwing all the pillows off the couches multiple times a day {What does he have against my pretty pillows?} and general messy kid stuff, his recent activities include but are not limited to...

coloring on the carpet
undressing Max from the waist down
throwing all the newly folded laundry on the floor
completely undressing himself {also multiple times a day}
covering his whole body with Brandon's deodorant
helping Grandpa Jan fix the tractor {Grandpa couldn't find nuts and bolts where he placed them. Later we found them scattered in the grass and between paint cans in the garage.}

Jackson's secret napping place

This busy boy won't take naps anymore, so it is just fitting that he continually falls asleep at the table.

Samisms: Prego Edition and the Forgotten

Just found that I hadn't published these. I know they are REALLY old, but they are just too good to pass up.

E: I am so sick of cleaning up after you.
S: You are already sick. You can't be two kinds of sick.

After a review of not spreading germs in preschool. I was driving the kids home and adjusting the radio and heater controls. Sam started lecturing me about not touching everything so I don't spread my sick germs. I tried to explain that my sick wasn't the kind that could be spread through germs. Now I can only touch the steering wheel.

Sam and Laura were playing family one day. The next day we found out Laura was sick and wouldn't be coming to preschool. Sam looked very concerned and said, "Oh no. Is Laura pregnant?"

S: It has to go boy, boy, girl, girl, alien, alien. {order of kids in our family}

Jordan: Rock a bye baby in the tree top.
S: The baby rocks on!

The Forgotten

S: I can't see Heavenly Father.
B: But he can see you. He is watching you from heaven.
S: He has a long neck?

Sam takes his time outs on the couch in the living room. On the way to Pasco for Thanksgiving (2008) we were talking about how we needed to be nice and share. Sam's response was simply, "I can't get in trouble mom. There isn't a couch here [in the car]."

E: Did you eat dinner?
S: Yes
E: What did you eat?
S: I don't know.
E: Would you like to eat dinner?
S: No, I would just like some chocolate please.

Samisms

I asked Sam to get Max's towel down from the towel hook for me. He tried his hardest, but couldn't get the hood to come up over the hook. "I can't get it unhooked. You are such a good hooker mom."

After an argument which ended in Sam not being allowed to go on an errand with dad.
S: That is SO RUDE!
M: What is rude?
S: When SOMEONE won't let SOMEONE ELSE go with SOMEONE ELSE. That is just so rude.

If you don't share with anybody Heavenly Father is not going to put you back in heaven. He is going to put you with the villains.

Dad is a bald man with old hair.

Sam was listening as I read a manuscript to Brandon. The text was talking about 2 human knees + 2 vampire knees + 8 tarantula knees= 12 knees / 3 passengers = an average of 4 knees/ passenger. {weird book}
S: Wow! That is a lot of legs.

9 weeks

Two months! I can't believe Max has already been part of our family for 2 months! He is getting so big, but just as happy as ever. He is constantly smiling, though I haven't been able to capture one on film yet. We have even gotten a couple of laughs.

Max loves watching his older brothers play and run around. He has to see what is going on and prefers being part of it. He doesn't really like tummy time, which has resulted in a nice bald spot on the back of his head. He has Sam's eyes, Jackson's chin, with a Dorman nose and blue gray eyes.

He is on a really good schedule and likes to stick to it. Though if we stray from our daily routine he takes it in stride. So easy going. He loves being swaddled still. It is his instant sign that he gets to take a rest. He almost immediately calms down and falls asleep. He will take a binky, but doesn't have to have one. He is sleeping well through the night, only waking up once to eat. It is his favorite time to have little chats with mom. And I love all the little coos so I am quick to oblige.

He is a good eater. And fast too. Sometimes I wonder whether he is getting enough, but the quantity of blowouts, his cute chub, and the fact that his is starting to fit into his 3-6 months clothes proves otherwise.

Sleep Eating

Summer days are hard on little boys.

While you read

I am caught up on my blogging. So while you catch up on your reading, I am going to hold my bundle of joy.

{I am still trying to upload a video of Jackson that you will not want to miss. Stay tuned.}

Puyallup Fair 2010

We hit the fair on opening day, hoping the weather and crowds wouldn't work against us. We got lucky and it ended up being a great night.

checking out the baby piggies

i absolutely love jackson's reaction in this photo

Sam got a dragon painted on his cheek. The other little boys were a little more timid and came away with stickers.

And then it was off to what Sam had been waiting for all night... rides. My boys are definitely riders. The loved going on all the fair rides and having Brandon give them rides in the stroller. We were also lucky enough to get on some rides for free!

Grandma was awesome and watched all five grandkids while the parents went on their rides.

First Day 2010

Sam is now a big kindergartner. He has been looking forward to going to school for so long and was so excited. Even with school starting early {8:20 am} Sam was up and eager to do anything I asked, as long as it related to school.

Sam and four friends from church are in Mrs. Dent's class. Here's to another great year!
