Fisherman Sam

Sam got a fishing pole for Christmas last year and has been dying to use it. After stocking up on bait, hooks, and other fishing necessities, we headed to Bradley Lake Park. Sam insisted on doing everything a fisherman did, including holding the pole over his shoulder. I am not sure they all really do that, but it was sure cute. He didn't have a long attention span for waiting and would rather cast and reel in the line or talk to the other kids around us.

After changing location onto the dock, he got a little nibble. Brandon helped him slowly reel in the fish and as it was almost to the dock the fish splashed and took off, bait, hook and all. This is the face of a sad Sam when his fish swims away. Better luck next time.
