We stayed in at a hotel. It is always a fun treat to stay at a hotel. At least for a little while. Who doesn't enjoy coming "home" to a freshly made bed, clean room, continental breakfast, pool access and newly filled shampoos? While Brandon was on campus being dotted on as a famous illustrator we had our own fun.
we made forts
jumped on the beds
played hide and seek
max found his hands
When we got bored we headed to the park. It was cold. Really cold.
See I told you it was cold. This is exactly why we are NOT moving back to Rexburg. Icicles in October. Really?
We tried going on campus, which by the way is not the same campus I know, but I spent more time chasing Jackson than it was worth. Every attempt to hold his hand resulted in him screaming at the top of his lungs, "Don't hurt me!" or "Let go of me!" or my personal favorite "Why are you trapping me?!" So we headed back to the hotel for a nap. We went to Craigo's (also not the same) for dinner. This photo perfectly illustrates what I felt like for the first two days of our trip. Sam being silly, Max being a little angel who wouldn't sleep and struggling with Jackson all while trying to keep a smile on my face.
Luckily dad came to the rescue and tired the boys out with some swimming. There was a slight chlorine smell in the halls and every time we would walk into the building, Sam would inhale deeply and say, "Don't you love the smell of swimming pool? I love the smell of swimming pool."
and tuckered out they were

What a fun trip! (Minus the car ride there.) I'm so bummed we weren't able to make it up there to see you guys! :( Your boys are still as cute as ever!
