Fitting in

Brandon and Sam can been seen sporting this pose in a majority of our family photos. Jackson wanted to be part of the gang. I don't know if Jackson has been trained on the "pose" or if he is just a fast learner, but he has it down.

I learned about this reflex in neuroanatomy today. It is called the asymmetrical tonic neck reflex or for short the fencing reflex. Basically, when the head is turned the limbs on the side the head is turned to extend and the opposing limbs are flexed. This reflex is more pronounced in infants, hence why Jackson is posing. Cool huh.
