Last weekend we went camping with my family and our friends the Gehrings. We were a little skeptical because of the weather report, and sure enough it rained. What do you expect in Washington? Despite the wet weather we had a ton of fun! Our trip included foil dinners, dutch oven peach cobbler, smores, hanging out around the fire until too late, Brandon trying to get everyone to tell scary stories, no one knowing any scary stories, Brandon trying to make up scary stories, Stefan's amazing tarp shelter, trying to keep the kids warm and dry, a trip to the beach, flying kites, skim boarding, a couple of trips for ice cream and the best camping breakfast ever. Biscuits on a stick, precooked sausage on a stick, bagels and english muffins on a stick (are you sensing a pattern here?) and for Christopher grape on a stick. Sorry no photos of breakfast, I was busy perfecting my biscuit roasting method.
My sisters made fun of my hat, but it kept me dry in the rain.

The guys trying to show how tough they were by grabbing the coals out of the fire for the dutch oven.

Sam loved helping set up the tent, building the fire and was so excited to sleep in a sleeping bag.

Greta and Sam had so much fun together. Based on this picture you never would have guessed it was AUGUST!

Sam playing games at an arcade on a quick stop to get some ice cream before going home. Not too related to the camping trip, but I loved Sam's face.

Wow! It looks like you guys had a good camping experience. That's awesome you took your baby camping. Most women wouldn't dare, so good for you! :)
I think your hat is very very cute!
It was Sam's fierce game face.
