Six

Our little boy is no longer.
He is now SIX!

Sam's birthday was on Sunday, which we are convinced is anything but a day of rest. Sam got a little family celebration at home with a sad attempt at an ice cream cake. It tasted right, it just needed to sit in the freezer for longer. A lot longer.

Sam is such a great brother. He takes care of his little brothers and they adore him.

He is my little running machine. Though I worry that his little chicken legs are going to snap one of these times that he falls down. He loves to play sports {soccer, ultimate frisbee, baseball, football and basketball} I bought him some cleats at a garage sale and he wears them outside constantly, because they "help him not fall down." I guess that should ease my mind.

He is dad's little shadow. He loves to dress the same and do the same as dad. I have triplets at church every Sunday. Because Jackson copies everything that Sam does.

He is very ready for first grade. I think more about seeing his friends and having recess than about actually learning. He is a math wiz. Though he still takes on more of Brandon's adolescent mindset and actually said, "I don't want to do homework, I just want to draw and play all day."

Happy Birthday big boy! Our family wouldn't be complete without you! We love you!

Wow, that is crazy! I still remember when Sam was born, and I was crazy jealous since I was huge pregnant with Lucy. And now, we have our own little Sam! Who would've guessed?
