Before meeting at the beach, the boys and I stopped at the zoo. I love having a membership and being about to go whenever we have a chance. Every other time we have been to the zoo we have walked right past the budgie buddies. I haven't even noticed the little corner they are tucked away in. This trip we made a point to seek them out. The boys had fun {even though they don't look like it in the photos}.

After the zoo we ventured over to Owen's beach. Sam and Jackson loved to throw the rocks and "boats" {drift wood} in the water with Kayla. Max and I hung out on the blanket. For the last couple of day he hadn't been feeling very well and the doctor had put him on a BRAT diet without any fruit. Which essentially leaves you with rice and toast. Poor little guys was lethargic and hungry. Who would want to eat nothing but rice, bread and crackers? To top it all off, the got a little bit of a fever while out for the day. We spent the day snuggling and snacking when I could get him to eat something.

We ended the day with a trip to Fircrest swimming pool where the kiddos donned their goggles and tubes.
