nag's head, north carolina
Another gorgeous day in the OBX. Brandon was visiting the elementary school in Kitty Hawk, so we explored a beach in Nag's Head so we could meet up with him later. It was hot but the wind was very strong making it the perfect temperature. We lathered the kids up in sunscreen and let them loose. In the process of getting the kiddos sun ready and eat our picnic lunch, us adults forgot to sunscreen ourselves. In addition, to protect Max from the sun and sandblasting wind, my back was towards the sun almost the entire 3 hours we were playing. All three adults came home with really bad sunburns.

max : molly and lana : sam and his sand porcupine

After the beach we meet Brandon, got some ice cream and hit up the only putt putt golf course open before April 15th. The big kids had fun playing, though we didn't keep score. The little kids felt special carrying around their plastic clubs. And the biggest boys put a wager on their game. The loser had to talk about an embarrassing rash they acquired on the flight home.

Despite his best efforts, Brandon lost.
Dinner was at Palimo Jack where I had the best crab cakes and Sam ate his weight in shrimp.
An exhausting day for all and the boys all crashed on the way home.
