Brandon and I were able to take a little getaway to attend the Deseret Book Author and Artist Appreciation Banquet (that is quite the mouthful) in Salt Lake City. This was our first year and we are already planning next year's trip. It was quite the intimidating experience. Not knowing what to expect. Being surrounded by so many inspiring and distinguished people. But what an amazing night! We were able to meet Elder Holland and make many new friends.
We were also able to get together with the Streadbecks and my siblings, hit up the mall and hang out without our three little monkeys climbing all over us. Thanks to mom and dad for keeping out little tikes warm amongst the snow storm.
