This year was my first time canning. And I kinda like it. Well at least I like looking at all the pretty jars sitting on my table when I am done. It is a lot of work and so time consuming, but look how pretty they are. With the help of my mom, we were able to can peaches, pears, pickles, jam and salsa. Next on the list applesauce, possibly more pears and relish.

mmm, I love it too! I've done more this year than I ever have. I even made 'pear sauce' which is REALLY good and a nice change from applesauce! I even ventured out and tried making tomato soup. Oh so good!
I'm adding some of those lovely canned good to our christmas list. Ü
They do look so pretty. I love the morning after canning when you wake up to a counter full of beautiful jars filled with good food. Enjoy!
Em, we should try pear sauce so we don't have to PEEL the rest of those pears. Oh, I also will be getting 2 boxes each of apples and peaches by Friday. Ready to can some more???
