Last Sunday was Sam's first day of sunbeams. I can't believe I have a primary kid. Usually the upcoming sunbeams visit primary during singing time a couple of times before the new year, but since church was canceled for half of the month and we were visiting family the other half, Sam didn't have that introduction. Regardless, Sam did wonderful.
I was out in the hall with Jackson and talked with April, who was subbing as the primary chorister. She comes up with the funnest ideas. The primary kids were able to be mad scientists mixing up magic potions (vinegar, food coloring and baking soda). After church I was pumping Sam for information. I got a lot of, "I don't know, "I don't remember," and shoulder shrugs. When I mentioned being a mad scientist, he got very excited and explained that when you mixed the potions it would "explode" and tell you what song to sing. Then his smile turned into a frown and he said, "I didn't get a turn." Sam, in the next 12 years I am sure you will get plenty of turns.

SO cute!! Sara is in sunbeams now too. She just seems so much younger than MaryAnn was! Crazy how fast they grow up huh?
CONGRATS, SAM! Good Job!
Sunbeams is the big step; learn lots, little buddy!
