Sam and Athen

Brandon's sister, Haley, and her son Athen came and visited us the last couple of days. We had fun and Sam was so excited to have "Baby Athen" here to play with him. All worries of Sam being jealous when the baby gets here are gone. Sam was boarder-line smothering Athen with hugs and kisses. It was an eye re-opener for me as I was reminded of a baby's daily schedule. It has been a while since Sam has been on a three hour feeding schedule. I almost feel like it will be a first child all over again, because I don't remember many of the details of when Sam was that little.

Eventhough it's hard to "go back to it all", it's easier in the respect that you've done it before and crying doesn't bug you as much, and it's not as stressful because you realize you don't HAVE to calm them every second of every day. --atleast that's how it was for me--but I was NOT prepared for the sleepless nights again! That was really the ONLY really hard part for me...other than jealous Tally--but it looks like Sam will be chillin with this new baby!!!

I've been babysitting a baby for the past 4 months... it's definitely been an eye-opener. It's amazing how fast you forget those things, isn't it? Of course, I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast...

With Lincoln I just knew I couldn't do things the same way as with Aden. Aden was actually a pretty fussy baby (great toddler though). Anyway, the book I read that I really took to heart and loved as "On Becoming Babywise" I followed it pretty closely those first few months and it could just be personalities but Lincoln is such an easier than Aden was. Give it a try and see what you think. Lincoln was sleeping through the night by about 8 weeks and honestly eats more than Aden sometimes. :) Brooke

I was wondering-When is Brandon going to be town? Was it the 25th of April in SLC somewhere? Marc would love to see him. Let me know if you get a chance.
