Mischievious

This little boy is into everything. Sometime he helps clean up the food off the floor or do the laundry other times he just makes me laugh. Like when he got stuck under my bed the other day. Wish I had a photo, but the memory is priceless.

Surprise Visit 2

This weekend Nicole drove up from Utah with some friends. We got to do a little shopping for twinner shirts, lunch at Mongolian Grill, hanging out at Deep Lake and laughing. Such a fun weekend with very little photos.

Surprise Visit

Father's Day weekend we got a surprise visit from my brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Rachel. We ventured down to the river and did one of my family's favorite...throwing rocks and eventually changing the course of the water. Then the second favorite...throwing rocks to splash someone with water. And then Jackson's favorite...eating rocks (as illustrated below).

After a game of frisbee, a sleepover, Nerts and celebrating the dads in our life we were zonked. We had so much fun! Thanks for coming up Jeremy and Rach! Missed you Nic.

Happy Birthday Jackson!

My baby just turned one. We had a small family birthday party for him on the 13th (his birthday was the 10th.) We ate, played ladder ball, had cake and ice cream and Jackson was serenaded Happy Birthday by Brandon and the ukulele. Another first, I made my first fondant cake and was quite proud of myself.

Happy Birthday Jackson! We love you! Dad, Mom and Sam

Ravenous Cowboys

Watch out! These ravenous cowboys have been out on safari searching for elephants, hippos and polar bears. Always an adventure when Meena is in the house.

And usually accompanied by a creative song by dad.

Brandon was the evil villain/ polar bear, because he is really white.

When things get quiet

I was busy cleaning around the house, Sam was watching a movie and Jackson was walking circles through the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway. After a while I realized I hadn't seen Jackson in a while. We often find him in the pantry, but he is usually trying to open packages. Today he found something else to entertain him.

What a mess. But you look at that darling face and you just can't get mad. Then you watch him try to brush the flour off his arm as it falls out of the measuring cup and you laugh out loud. Finally, you see the little footprints and you melt.

This is what two little boys look like...

...on the way to the drive-in to see UP.

This is not what two little boys look like...
...when you park with your friends to watch the movie.
...get asked to move your car because it is too short.
...watch the drive-in theater attendant pull out a measuring tape, measure and inform the drivers of another car they need to move because the car is too tall.
...the whole movie.

But this is what two little boys look like...
...on the way home.
