Well, it took us three days, but we finally decided on the name Jackson. He has been such a good baby. The entire experience has been so different than when we had Sam. When Sam was born we had so many unexpected things happen, the club feet, jaundice, he had his tongue clipped, a slow heart rate and he had a really hard time nursing it was so overwhelming. Jackson has been a good eater and sleeper from the beginning and with the exception of being put in the nursery for a couple hours to monitor a fast breathing rate/ not getting enough oxygen (result of extra fluid in his lungs, a common thing with c-section babies) he has been an angel. On top of that the fact the c-section was planned and I was awake made a world of difference.

Sam is such a good big brother. He loved to see the baby and hold him for a little while until he remembered there were curtains in the hospital room that were perfect for playing hide and seek. He is doing great since we have come home also. He is so protective and always "taking care of the baby." The other night we were in the car and Jackson started to cry. Sam keep telling us the baby was crying (as if we couldn't hear him in the first place), but the cutest part was Sam was about to start crying because he didn't want Jackson to be sad.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures of your beautiful family! What a great name--glad you finally decided! Aren't names TOUGH?!?!
Hey--total sidenote. I have been looking for a point and shoot so I don't have to haul my SLR everywhere--and I was HOPING you have actually have one and could tell me what kind you have. Your pictures are always so beautiful AND HIGH QUALITY.
I know you are probably exhausted and having a hard time keeping up, but if you get a chance, could you drop me a line? Would really appreciate it! Thanks! And congrats again! hollowayfam@yahoo.com
Emily,
CONGRATS!! Jackson is just adorable; I am so glad that this time around was much better! Good luck with everything, I hope all continues to go well. Take care, and take advantage of people who want to help, then maybe you can get some much needed, and deserved sleep!
hooray, he is so cute! we think this one aside from the dark hair...is a little more brandon-looking than emily-looking. but it looks like sam & jackson have the same mouth & chin, it's so cute!
ben says that jackson is his 2nd favorite name. :) congratulations, we are so glad this birth went well & that he is healthy. sam is going to be such a good older brother!
