Staycation : Ferry Ride

A little ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle on the windiest and rainiest day of their trip.

we are still working on getting everyone to look at the camera

brooke and I just had to laugh at the utter chaos the little boys were causing running around. and the big boys just standing and ignoring it all.

Staycation : Zoo and Owen's Beach

 Our friends, the Streadbecks, came up for a visit. While they were here we had a little vacation at home. The sun was out in all its glory, so we hit up the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.

They had a special exhibit on poop. The kids all thought it was great. Big boys included.

The walrus was so cute. He hung out and watched us through the glass as he sucked on his flipper. The kids were ecstatic to have an animal so close and interactive with them for so long.

After the zoo, we made the short drive to Owen's beach. It was a perfect spot for the kids to throw rocks to their heart's content. And for the parents to sit and watch them and all the other weirdos on the beach.

Stitches

Jackson was playing in the backyard, twisting around the t-ball tee and he fell and landed on a piece of gravel to the forehead. The hole wasn't big, but it was deep. So we took him to urgent care and he got two stitches. He was fine as long as no one touched his Band Aid and he had a lollipop. 

When it came to getting the stitches put in it took, one nurse and both Brandon and I lay across his body to hold him down. Even then we were struggling. He is one strong kid.
